The 314 numbered pages with 2-page catalogue to the end of the book are top edge gilt, are in overall Very Good + condition with an inscription to the blank front free endpaper, and very light age toning to the paper, but with the 16 colour plates present as per the list to the front of the book and also firmly bound-in and in Fine condition. The Jungle is a 1906 novel written by author and journalist Upton Sinclair. The binding that is 100 years old is still remarkably attractive with the gilt lettering and decoration still very bright and the binding sound and complete. First published in 18, The Jungle Books remain some of the most beloved tales of all time. The publisher’s original red binding with gilt lettering and decoration to the spine is in Very Good + condition with edge wear, slight fading to the spine, wear to the bottom of the spine, corner knocks, and a mark to the back board.
